Whistler Film Festival

Visit Whistler in late fall for Canada’s Coolest Film Fest with events to connect audiences, filmmakers and industry. Events include film premieres, industry summits, talent programs, celebrations and special guest appearances by actors and directors. 2024 Film Festival Overview

Enjoy feature and short film programmes including Oscar contenders, breakthrough Canadian films, and adventure-packed and award-winning stories from around the globe. Select films will premiere exclusively in theatre. The festival also hosts lively après events, conversations with top talent, Q&As, and so much more.

The 2024 lineup includes the star power of Jennifer Lopez, Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Hugh Grant, Dave Bautista and Robbie Williams, to name a few.

Film Highlights

Whistler Film Festival’s full film lineup is now live and includes 118 exciting and moving films. There are 47 features and 71 shorts from 14 countries, including top award-season contenders, new breakthrough Canadian features, adrenaline-pumping mountain adventure films, and previously unseen projects from around the globe.

Borsos Competition

The Whistler Film Festival’s (WFF) prestigious Borsos Competition for Best Canadian Feature is overseen by a jury of some of the country’s most accomplished film and screen talent. Now in its 21st year, the competition – named after the legendary Canadian filmmaker Philip Borsos – awards a $35,000 cash and in-kind prize for Best Canadian Feature, making it the second-largest in the country.
